Or if you are a wiz kid on the internet, get googling and find out who the millionaires are that way.

So where else do millionaires hang out? Try your luck at charity auctions, art galleries, boat shows, or any other highbrow event. They will be there!

Educate yourself

Investment guru, Joshua Kennon, has been the Investing for Beginners Guide at About.com, a division of The New York Times since 2001. He believes the key to marrying a millionaire is education. “Study classical literature, music, and art. Like minds attract; if you don't know the difference between Debussy and Dickens, you aren't going to snag anyone with class,” he says.

Look good

If you want to strike it lucky with a millionaire you’ve got to look the part. This doesn’t mean adorning fake diamonds and bling. Remember, less is more. “Small pearl earrings perhaps might fit the bill, or a good copy of a Rolex watch or a small pin that has more significance to your family (perhaps an heirloom) and less about show,” advises eHow’s careers expert. He adds: “This is very important. You can't catch one if they think you are in pursuit of them for money alone.”

Start Early

According to Lucy Mangan, you’ve got to start early. “Jerry Yang, head of Yahoo and worth around $2.2 billion met his wife during a student exchange programme. Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay and worth an estimated £10.4 billion, met his at university (another good rule of thumb while you're young is pick a geek, any geek)”. And don’t forget Wayne Rooney. He started dating Coleen McLoughlin when they were both virtually still in diapers! “You just need a bit of vision,” Mangan adds.
