The world first intelligent ball from Puma
11 January 2008
Puma one of the leading footballing brand finally launch the world first intelligent ball. This breakthrough technology is using a special material layer with shock absorbing advantage that allows wearers to cope with being hit with large objects. The layer also allow players to have more control on the ball and ensure the travelling speed with more touch feelings.
It work in such a way that the molecule tighten up to deal with impacts. Laboratory test the ball by firing the ball at various surfaces at different speeds and seeing how dynamically it responds. Results prove that at low speeds it has the longest dwell time, ie the time it is in contact with what is striking it, making it more controllable. Meanwhile at high speeds it will stay in contact for the least time and will retain its original shape. Therefore, it offers players more control because it's deader at low speeds, and more power and truer flight at higher speeds because it will distort less when it's in motion without violating FIFA standards.
The ball goes on sale from January 15 at £59.99 in UK.
