Gruesome murder of Datuk S. Krishnasamy bring fears to politicians
12 January 2008
Malaysia politicians are living in fear. Not long after the sex video of Dr. Chua Soi Lek (who is the former Health Minister) free distribution to the public, it follow by a gruesome murder of Datuk S. Krishnasamy (Tenggaroh Assemblyman). Krishnasamy was shot at right on the face by a professional killer in the lift at the state MIC headquarters, Johor.
This incident shock the nation whereby a politician being assasinate in such horrific manner. No actual reasons been found on the motive behind this murder. Many people believe this is an early warning to all Malaysia politicians. Politicians life are no longer in the safe hands, maybe even more fragile than any normal citizens due to their high profile ranking in the society. Even MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu also admit that his life is no better than Krishnasamy.
“I meet 750 people each week. If a gunman comes, even I can be shot,” - Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu
Many brainstorming ideas pop up on how to prevent such case from repeating again. One of the oldest or better known as repeated ideas is the CCTV installation. Now the question is how many CCTV can we install and will it really do the job? This statement is very contradict whereby the government want to control the CCTV market due to privacy invasion case of Dr. Chua, while on the other hand Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman (Johor Minister) are encouraging CCTV installation. A much more concrete idea should be on how to create a crime prevention infrastructure. What I mean is that maybe we can design walkways in a more public congested area or even doors/walls are using see through glasses.
Frankly speaking, I'm not against anyone but I'm thinking in a logical sense. Among so many politicians, but why such things only happen to them? Maybe is time to look at themself and start self questioning.
